PERFECT SEALING
Our ball valves with metal seats KTN offer total tightness in applications with severe conditions.
Pentafite seats on ball valves

Pentafite is a metallic component with a metallic matrix that has a solid lubricant dispersed inside. It is the result that is obtained through a synthesizing process in which, from fine powders of this unique component, it is possible to produce the metal rings that form the seat insert for our ball valves with metal seat intended for services with high temperature, high pressure or with pressure / temperature combination higher than the tolerable limits for polymeric material.

Low valve torque
The dispersion of lubricant protects the seat and ball from friction
The presence of the dispersion of the solid lubricant within the metal matrix reduces the friction of the seat on the ball and also the torque of the valve. For the same reason, seizures or chafing between the seat and ball surfaces are eliminated even when the working temperature is high.
Easy maintenance
No additional machining
Because no additional machining is necessary to fit the seats against the ball, the assembly and maintenance of the valve is very easy strong when using metal Pentafite seats.

Perfect sealing
Perfect adaptation that eliminates any possible vanishing point
The elastic properties of the Pentafite seat material allow the automatic adaptation of the seats against the shape of the sphere, eliminating machining imperfections. In this way, it is possible to eliminate any leakage point and achieve perfect sealing.
The presence of the solid lubricant inside allows the Pentafite material to reach very high specific working pressures, resulting in perfect tightness when high-pressure gases must be stopped .
