Description

DIN/ANSI FILTER STAINLESS STEEL BODY – KTN 621Y / 622Y

Our standard DIN3357 filters are used in industrial applications toremove solid particles from liquids or gases. It consists of a mesh that traps particles and allows the fluid or gas to pass through.

The flanged design allows for easy installation and removal by screwing the filter into place.

Industrial flanged filters are commonly used in pipelines to protect pumps, valves and other equipment from damage caused by debris or contaminants in the fluid flow.

They are available in various sizes, materials and configurations to suit different industries.

Body and bonnet
Body and bonnet made of CF8M stainless steel, a versatile steel with excellent corrosion resistance, strength and heat resistance.
The housing encloses the filter element and provides support and protection structure. It is designed to withstand pressure PN 16, and can work up to 425ºC.
Mesh

The mesh is made of 316 stainless steel due to the quality of the material the filter has great resistance to corrosion and durability.
The size to use will depend on the requirements of the application and the desired level of efficiency of filtration. The standard mesh size is 40.

  • 40 Mesh: A 40 mesh size filter will have 40 openings per inch. It is considered a medium-coarse mesh size and can effectively filter particles larger than 425 microns.
  • 60 mesh: A 60 mesh size filter will have 60 openings per inch. Provides a finer level of filtration compared to 40 mesh, filtering particles larger than 250 microns.
  • 80 mesh: An 80 mesh size filter will have 80 openings per inch. It offers even finer filtration, capturing particles larger than 177 microns.
  • 100 Mesh: A 100 mesh size filter will have 100 openings per inch. This is a fine mesh size that can filter particles larger than 149 microns.
RPTFE Gasket
Gaskets are made of RPTFE (reinforced PTFE) used to seal the body and lid, offer excellent properties
such as chemical resistance to a wide range of substances, high temperature resistance, pressure resistance for reliable sealing under high pressures, they also have non-stick properties that facilitate removal during maintenance and greater longevity due to
to its durability and resistance to wear.
Screwcap
A 316 screw cap is used on a filter to seal and secure the filter housing. It is located at one end of the housing and closes after the filter element is installed. Screw cap ensures the filter stays securely in place, preventing leaks or contamination of the filtered fluid. It also allows easy access to the filter element for maintenance or replacement.
