BUTTERFLY VALVE POLISHED RA 0.8 μm – KTN 291M

Our sanitary valves are designed to meet strict hygiene standards.
The material body of the valve body and the parts in contact with the fluid are made of electropolished 316L steel, a process that consists of an electrolytic bath that eliminates surface imperfections and improves its resistance to corrosion. The clamp-on sanitary butterfly valve comes with a trigger locking mechanism to be able to control the process flow precisely.

Clamp valves incorporate tri-clamp or tri-clover end connections that provide a safe and hygienic seal between a valve and a pipe or tank, these clamps are easy to assemble, disassemble and clean.

Under special order we can manufacture the valves in materials that allow self-cleaning with standardized cleaning and maintenance processes such as SIP (Steam in Place) and CIP (Cleaning in Place).

Body
Body made of top accuracy CNC mechanized 316L stainless steel with clamp ends to ease maintenance and cleaning operations.
Seat design
The design of the seat reduces the torque of the seat and, at the same time, reduces the wear of the parts in contact. The curvatures in the machining of the inner area of the seat minimize contact forces between the disc and the seat when the disc approaches, or opens from, the closed position. This unique seat geometry allows for lower torques and reduces seat wear.
Stem and disc
The stem is made in one piece and is mechanically retained in the neck of the body so no part of the stem is exposed to fluid.
Upper/lower gasket
Upper and lower packing made of PA (polyamide) for symmetrical tightness, the upper packing is reinforced by an upper bolt to absorb the torsion of the handle or actuator.
Pull handle
Pull handle with 3 lockable positions to allow precise flow control.
